Over the years I have been the recipient of many secrets. I keep them. In fact, I may not share them with anyone else* given my professional mandate to hold confidentiality. So I was fascinated to hear Frank Warren’s story about collecting secrets and, of course, sharing them.
One in his presentation really captured my attention. It’s just one sentence and speaks to an immense secret about life and death. Wow.
Keeping secrets can be enormously draining; their revelation providing freedom and more room to breathe. If you are holding painful stories to yourself, consider sharing them with a professional like me who can help work through their consequences so you can move on. Life’s too short.
